Fiat has begun revealing the new update for the Freemont range, no less than a new model for the top end of the 7-seat crossover, the Freemont Black Code, priced just 1,000 euros above the Lounge version, which until now was the best-equipped.

The Black Code will be available with the 170 hp 2.0 Multijet II diesel engine, with front-wheel drive or 4×4 all-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Its distinguishing features include the exclusive design of the front grille and lower grille, the headlight bezels, the mirror caps, the 19-inch wheels and the longitudinal bars, all finished in glossy black.

Inside, black is also the main colour, with plenty of equipment such as satellite navigation with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, DVD player and SD card slot, Bluetooth connectivity, rear parking assist camera and a Premium Alpine sound system with 6 speakers.

The Freemont will be limited to four versions, the Freemont, Urban, Lounge and Black Code, plus two drivetrain options: front-wheel drive or active 4×4 all-wheel drive of the on-demand type, two gearboxes, manual and automatic, both with six speeds, and two diesel engines: 2.0 Multijet II, with 140 and 170 hp.

Prices are 33,200 € for the 170 hp 2.0 Multijet II version with front-wheel drive, and 36,800 € for the same engine with 4×4 all-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
