In Humberside, United Kingdom, the police force has just added the powerful Lexus IS-F to its fleet, which will be used to patrol motorways under the Road Crime programme as an interceptor vehicle. With this Lexus IS-F, they retire the Subaru Impreza WRX that was used until recently for this role.

The Lexus IS-F is equipped with a 5.0 V8 engine producing 423 CV, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds, which will make it easy to intercept the various vehicles on English motorways.

It also reaches a top speed of 270 km/h and all the Lexus IS-F units will feature an advanced communications system costing around 33,000 euros. The Lexus IS-F is on sale in our country for the hefty sum of 85,000 euros, so these police cars are quite expensive and more powerful than most vehicles on English roads.
