Lynk & Co begins accepting orders in Europe for its new electric SUV 02
The new Lynk & Co 02, which will soon arrive in Europe, is a compact SUV with an innovative approach to shared mobility.
The Chinese manufacturer Lynk & Co has just unveiled in Milan what will be its first fully electric model for the European market. The company has already begun accepting reservations for the 02, an electric SUV that will be available in Germany from €35,495.
Since late September we had already known some details about this model, thanks to the registration application the manufacturer submitted to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology so it could begin commercialisation in that market.

The 02, which is called Z20 in China, is based on Geely’s SEA2 platform, an adapted version of the SEA platform intended for more compact vehicles, such as the Zeekr X, the Smart #1 and #3, or the Volvo EX30.
Technical specifications of this new electric SUV from the Chinese manufacturer
According to the data published by the MIIT, the 02 has a single motor with 200 kW of power, allowing it to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 5.5 seconds. Likewise, although no precise information has been revealed about the battery pack it integrates, what we do know is that its range reaches 435 kilometres for the “Core” version and 445 km for the “More” version. In both cases under the fairly generous Chinese CLTC homologation cycle.
This Chinese body also refers to data related to charging the battery pack, and states that it supports a maximum DC power of 150 kW, with a charging time of 30 minutes, although it does not specify up to what state of charge.

Its dimensions are quite similar to those of the Zeekr X, with a length of 4.46 metres, a width of 1.85 and a height of 1.57. Despite being a Chinese vehicle, the company has not hesitated to highlight its Scandinavian design, developed at Lynk & Co’s global design studio in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Customer opinion is also important
Lynk & Co has drawn on the opinions of its customers during the development phase of this project and, according to the company, the brand’s customers went on to contribute more than 6,000 suggestions about the most desired features through the Co:lab function of its mobile app, with which customers can send ratings and suggestions.

Finally, it is worth pointing out one of the most innovative features of this electric SUV, which is none other than the integration into the vehicle’s interface of the tools needed for shared use. Thanks to these tools, 02 owners will be able to share their vehicle much more easily with friends, family, and even strangers, with the aim in the latter case of earning some extra income to help pay off the price of the vehicle.
