The history of Ferrari is full of great cars, models that break the mould and push boundaries. The brand’s new era arrives with the F80, which has become the most powerful road car ever built by the Italian marque. To achieve this, it has opted for a hybrid V6 engine which, although not the powerful V12 of its predecessors, delivers more than adequately on what is expected of it.

It is not a track car, but it handles the circuit very well and is also highly practical for moving with elegance on the road. Aesthetically, it represents a new design language for the brand, and its bodywork establishes a defined and very attractive style.

The Ferrari F80 exterior

On the exterior of the Ferrari F80 we find two separate modules. On one hand, the lower part, which is very prominent, and the upper section, which includes the cabin and stands out like a bubble rising from the first. The roof is made of painted carbon fibre, and the rear section shares the same colour as the bodywork.

At the front, the design work aims to recall a racing single-seater, with the headlights concealed behind a black visor. The cabin is a reminder of a single-seater, yet has room for one passenger thanks to the 1+1 configuration developed by Ferrari.

Looking at the rear, we find a dynamic rear wing that adjusts according to speed and the chosen driving style. Six air intakes on the bonnet cool the engine. The rear lights are slim and offer a light signature that stands out and reinforces the desired image.

The aerodynamics have also been carefully worked on, since this model can generate up to 1,050 kg of downforce, keeping the car firmly planted on the tarmac. A technology and design that combines the best of both worlds to create an intense driving sensation at all times.

The 20- and 21-inch wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 and Cup2R tyres, specifically developed for this model. In terms of dimensions, it measures 4.84 metres long, 2.06 metres wide and 1.14 metres high, very tight figures that result in a car with a restrained weight of 1,525 kg kerb weight.

The butterfly-opening doors offer an extra touch to the exterior appearance of the new Ferrari car.

The Ferrari F80 engine

The Ferrari F80 engine is a 3.0-litre V6 block producing 900 CV. The hybrid system consists of a 48-volt electric turbo and a motor on the rear axle which, together with two other electric motors on the front axle, adds 300 CV to the total. This brings the total output to 1,200 CV, reached at 8,750 rpm.

The 800-volt architecture makes it an efficient car that delivers the energy needed to make full use of all the power it is capable of producing.

The cabin

The interior replicates a competition car, and all the instrumentation is oriented towards the driver. The digital instrument cluster offers a direct and clear view of all the information. The flat-bottomed steering wheel suits the dynamic driving this model delivers and helps to control this road beast.

Units for sale and price

Only 799 units will be built, each priced at 3.6 million euros, and the first cars will reach customers at the end of 2025.
