Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale

It is official and one of the great new features of the Paris Motor Show. The GranTurismo MC Stradale will be the most powerful, fastest and lightest vehicle in the entire Maserati range. It will go on sale in the first quarter of 2011.
Its modifications are inspired by the competition models Trofeo GranTurismo MC and GT4 V8. To reduce weight, the Maserati has dispensed with the rear seats, so this new model will only be suitable for two people. In order to increase aerodynamic downforce, a small rear spoiler and a large rear diffuser have been added to the exterior, above which the two exhaust pipes are positioned.

The engine produces more power than that of the GranTurismo S (10 CV more, a total of 450 CV), but fuel consumption remains unchanged (16.2 l/100 km). It will be capable of exceeding 300 km/h in top speed. The 0-100 km/h sprint is expected to take approximately 4.5 seconds.
Modifications to the suspension and braking system make the MC Stradale more agile and dynamic than the GranTurismo S, but according to the manufacturer, without sacrificing its extraordinary ride quality.
With the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale, a response is given to those customers who do not want to give up the comforts of a GranTurismo but who need to satisfy their most intimate desires to race on track. The changes made to this model are the result of the experience gained by Maserati in its competition programmes.
