Maserati, new details about the brand's future
New details about the future of Maserati, the Italian brand that, according to Sergio Marchionne, CEO of the FIAT Group, must multiply its sales by ten in the medium term

If there is one thing certain about the short/medium-term future of Maserati, it is precisely that they must multiply their sales by ten. For that, nothing better than sitting under the umbrella of the Ferrari itself and, above all, having Sergio Marchionne as an undisputed fan, capable of demanding that your designers create three new models.
Because of this, in the short term we have the presentation of the well-known SUV from Maserati, a new Maserati as the entry point to the brand, and the replacement for the Quattroporte. On the other hand, we cannot forget a hypothetical two-seater, a close relative of the Alfa Romeo 4C Copetizione, which apparently would be left on the drawing board, at least for now.
The most curious thing of all is not necessarily that Maserati plans, at least as far as we understand, to present three new vehicles. The best part may be that all of them will be presented between late 2012 and early 2013. Unfortunately, for now we cannot say for certain which will be the first to reach the market.
As for details, it is worth noting that while the replacement for the Quattroporte will continue to be built in the same plant as the current model, and the Kubang at the plant where the new Jeep Grand Cherokee is currently built, the entry-level model will do the same at the plant where the current Thema is built, the model with which it will share its platform.
As a good Maserati, the entry-level model for the brand will only share its platform with the Thema, since the engine, according to the latest rumors, will be none other than a derivative of the famous V8 from Ferrari.
