Mazda RX-Vision Concept: a car that photos don't do justice to

That is what they say at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, that no image gallery can convey the sense of elegance and presence that the Mazda RX-Vision Concept has, a car that has served to showcase some of the brand’s avant-garde elements. First of all, it must be borne in mind that this is not a production model, but a purely display vehicle, and for that reason every detail has been crafted so that from the very first moment it becomes the target of every camera at the event.
Since we cannot be sure that we will fully see and appreciate this car through static images alone, they have decided to offer us a series of videos that do capture its elegance and power. We are going to look at every corner of the Mazda concept car in detail and from every possible angle. Perhaps we still won’t be able to grasp the full scale of the car, but it will help us see it better.
What stands out in the Mazda RX-Vision Concept is the side profile, very beautiful and pleasing to look at. The rear reminds us of the RX-7 and, overall, it keeps the design language called Kodo, modern, contemporary and present in the company’s models over recent years. That said, it adds a touch that pays homage to older competition car designs.
It should not be ruled out that some of the solutions Mazda proposes in this prototype end up forming part of a future facelift of the MX-5, a car that is proving very popular and of which, incidentally, we will see two special versions at SEMA 2015, which will take place soon.
It would be a shame not to see this car on the production line and later on our roads, but they have not ruled out this possibility either, so we can keep our fingers crossed and wait to see which direction this design takes in the near future.
