Mercedes Actros, a byword for fuel efficiency

I didn’t believe that a heavy-duty truck could deliver the fuel savings demonstrated by the Mercedes Actros, which has entered the Guinness Book of Records as the most efficient truck in the under-40-tonne category.
This truck covered a distance of 12,728 km carrying a 25-tonne load at an average speed of 80 km/h on the Italian Nardo circuit, using only 19.44 litres of diesel on average per 100 km.
And one could even compare its performance to that offered by the sports car from Hybrid Technologies, although it would be interesting to see this technology in a car aimed at all users.
