Mercedes AMG G63 Steampunk, a jewel on wheels by Carlex Design
Steampunk is a style of decoration whose main feature is a Victorian aesthetic with a dark touch, which Carlex has used

We have to admit that the builds from Carlex Design always excite us. The cars that pass through their hands end up becoming authentic jewels that give an even more striking look to cars that already are. The latest to come from this tuner is a Mercedes AMG G63 to which they have given an image of their own, inspired by steampunk novels. The Mercedes AMG G63 Steampunk recreates an aspect of 19th-century fantasy based on steam technology, and that fantastical aesthetic is very curious.
Creating this spectacular variant required around 5,000 hours of work, so the result is truly spectacular. Aesthetically it offers a very powerful image, thanks to a roof decorated with a pattern of skulls, roses and diamonds, painted in an attractive bronze colour.

The bronze colour is repeated on other parts of the bodywork, including the wheels, the exhausts and the badges, achieving a distinctive look that recreates the retro fantasy of steampunk. Inside, the same approach has been taken to create a similar look, with bronze accents spread over a brown leather background.

That bronze colour is present in the air vents, some steering wheel elements, buttons and switches, and the interior door handles. On the roof, Carlex has fitted Alcantara leather that mimics the exterior roof, creating a truly spectacular look. The steampunk design is also present on the front seats, and there are other elements of this kind that create a very special atmosphere.
If you like it, we have to tell you that there is no price figure for buying this car. What we do know is that if you like it you should hurry to save up what it will cost, which won’t be cheap, since Carlex has announced that it will only build 10 units of this variant, so it will be very, very exclusive.
