The Mercedes AMG GT-R is the model that the German brand has created around the Nürburgring, and which has been seen in all its splendour at the Geneva Motor Show.

We were eager to see the Mercedes AMG-GT R in person, the car the German brand has presented and which has become the best-performing version of the range. Dressed in a green that has earned it the same nickname as the Nürburgring circuit, The Green Hell, this car has been on display at the Geneva Motor Show and has been one of the most talked-about cars in the first days of the event. And it’s no wonder, because we are receiving data about it, but it had not been seen until now.

The car, which was designed at the Nürburgring, has been conceived to deliver maximum performance on this demanding German circuit. It has been one of the models that has achieved the best lap time at this track and it can offer an excellent driving experience. The powerful 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine delivers 585 CV, similar to what the rest of the engines in the AMG GT range offer, but it has been tuned to achieve better performance.

In terms of figures, we find an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 318 km/h. Everything about this model is designed to perform at its best on the track, so that same feeling has also been carried into its exterior design, so that anyone who sees the car can tell what this version of the model is capable of.

The aerodynamic downforce has been carefully engineered, and this is reflected in elements such as the rear spoiler, which is fixed above the boot lid and helps push the car down efficiently. Other elements are movable, so that they find their best position to favour that aerodynamics which wants to make itself strong on the circuit that saw it born and grow. Impressive, isn’t it?
