Mercedes-Benz T-Class, the perfect companion for family leisure
The Mercedes-Benz T-Class has a starting price of 29,722 euros, and by the end of the year we will get to know its fully electric version.

Did you think people carriers had gone to the great scrapyard in the sky? Think again. The star brand has set out to reclaim the segment with a model that offers generous interior space and a very appealing load volume. We are talking about the Mercedes-Benz T-Class, a vehicle that, for around 3,000 euros, can also be converted into a camper to enjoy the great outdoors.
The new Mercedes-Benz T-Class comes with seven airbags and a large arsenal of technology, featuring numerous driver assistance systems. It was developed in collaboration with Renault and has earned the coveted five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

Another of the most interesting features of the new T-Class from the star brand is the incorporation of the MBUX system, the Mercedes Me digital services and the integration of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This is not a large vehicle; it has very balanced proportions and lines that manage to deceive the eye. Its pronounced wheel arches and shoulders add extra character to the overall look.

It measures 4.49 metres long, 1.85 metres wide and 1.81 metres high. It has room for five passengers, and up to four child seats can be fitted. The boot has a capacity of 520 litres, which can increase to 2,127 litres if the rear seats are folded down.
The front catches the eye thanks to its now-famous chrome grille. It is flanked by flat halogen headlights with LED daytime running lights. The bonnet is divided by two twin edges moulded with lower air intake grilles that reach almost to the wheels.

At the rear, the one-piece light clusters with LED technology stand out. This area is also aerodynamic and offers good energy efficiency. It is homologated at a WLTP fuel consumption of between 5.3 and 7.3 litres per 100 km. Once inside, and thanks to the MBUX infotainment system, fitted as standard, you gain access to a wide range of Mercedes Me Connect digital services. Highlights include the adaptive software, the seven-inch touchscreen and the Touch Control buttons on the steering wheel, as well as integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Optionally, MBUX is available with an integrated navigation system and built-in voice assistant, Hey Mercedes.
Available engines
For the time being, it is only available with diesel and petrol engines, although by the end of this year we will get to know the fully electric version: the Mercedes-Benz EQT, which will offer up to 300 kilometres of range on a single charge. As for the petrol units, there is a 1.3-litre engine producing 102 and 131 hp, while the 1.5-litre diesels offer 95 and 116 hp. In addition, they feature an ECO start/stop function. The two diesel models come with a six-speed manual gearbox, and the petrol versions with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox (DCT).

The Mercedes-Benz T-Class is already open for orders in Spain, and the first units will begin to be delivered this October. It is available in four versions—two diesel and two petrol—and in a colour range of nine shades, five of which are metallic. The T-Class starts, without discounts, at 29,722 euros and corresponds to the 160 100 hp petrol version. These are the remaining versions:
-
- T180 petrol 130 hp: 31,034 euros.
- T160d diesel 95 hp: 31,300 euros.
- T80d diesel 116 hp: 32,267 euros.
