Mercedes continues with its strong numbers

Now, as the year comes to an end, the balance sheets of the car brands start to appear, positive (as always, the positive ones first) and negative, closing 2009 with losses, gains, sales increases and targets met. A few hours ago we published how well the year went for the English prestige brand Rolls-Royce and now it is the turn of Mercedes.
The German brand Mercedes has been the premium brand that has grown the most in December and in the last four months of 2009, with a growth of 12% in the Christmas month and 13% in the four-month period. The new E-Class and the S-Class contribute to the rise in sales, since the saloon segment is the leader in world markets.
Even so, from within the brand they expect this year, which is just beginning, 2010, to be even better than the previous one given how attractive the new products introduced to the market are, such as the E-Class convertible. The Mercedes SLS AMG will also see the light of day in the first quarter of 2010 and should help maintain the positive momentum of last year.
It is worth highlighting the figures for Mercedes Benz in China, an emerging market like no other, where the German brand has achieved a 65% increase in its sales to total 70,000 Mercedes sold in the Eastern country during 2009, more than any premium category brand, doubling its sales in the month of December. Likewise, the Asian market added up to 165,300 units sold, a sales record for these brands.
