EQS 680 SUV Maybach Electric Cars
Mercedes-Maybach opens orders in Europe for the EQS 680 SUV
The price of this extreme luxury SUV from Mercedes-Maybach exceeds even €250,000 if some of the optional packages on offer are added
Following its launch in the North American market last year, the German manufacturer has just announced that it has also started accepting orders in Europe for the first fully electric model available in its range.
As we might have imagined, parking a unit of the luxurious EQS 680 SUV in your home garage won’t exactly be cheap. In Germany, the price of this exclusive electric SUV starts at €200,634. This figure corresponds to the base model and will rise significantly with the addition of just some of the many equipment options that Mercedes-Maybach offers.

The EQS 680 SUV is based on the EQS SUV 580 4MATIC from Mercedes-Benz, but includes some technical modifications that we will mention below, as well as a much higher level of finish and luxury.
This is what Maybach offers
First of all, it should be noted that the battery pack is the same, with a capacity of 107.8 kWh, which allows the luxury Maybach electric SUV to travel about 612 km on a single charge under the WLTP homologation cycle. Both also feature a dual electric motor setup, but while the Mercedes-Benz model delivers a combined output of 400 kW, the Maybach reaches 484 kW in total.
In Germany, the base price of the EQS SUV 580 4MATIC is €147,922, which means that opting for the Maybach model requires paying just over €50,000 more. This premium gives exclusive Mercedes-Maybach customers an extra 84 kW of power, as well as a higher level of standard equipment, including the 22 kW onboard charger for AC charging, which is optional on the Mercedes-Benz model.
On top of all this, there is obviously the higher level of luxury inside the cabin, thanks for example to the “Executive” seats, which feature ventilation and an integrated massage function, plus heating in the neck and shoulder area.

Finally, although as we have mentioned the price of the EQS 680 SUV from Mercedes-Maybach starts at €200,634, it is not at all difficult to increase the final price of the vehicle, to exceed €250,000, if some of the optional packages offered by the German manufacturer are added to the vehicle’s configuration. This makes it clear that we are dealing with a very exclusive model, limited to just a few fortunate buyers with high purchasing power.
