Mercedes-Maybach S 680 'Haute Voiture', a limited edition of 150 units

Mercedes-Maybach has unveiled its latest limited-edition model, inspired by the world of haute couture. The carmaker will produce just 150 units of the luxury saloon called “Haute Voiture”. Gorden Wagner, Mercedes-Maybach’s head of design, has noted that “the intricate features and exclusive design elements are what make the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture one of the most extravagant models we have ever created: it represents sophisticated luxury in its purest form. Our customers have access to the most aspirational lifestyle, so we wanted to reflect this by creating something absolutely desirable and using components never seen before on a Mercedes-Maybach”.

Based on the Maybach S 680, the exterior of the new model is characterised by its two-tone paint finish. All vehicles will be painted in metallic nautical blue on the upper section, with a pink tone on the lower part. The wheels complement the design and are painted in the same blue as the upper section.

That colour palette continues inside, alongside gold and beige tones, and this is where the vehicle’s haute couture inspiration truly shines. A high-quality blue bouclé and gold fabric is the centrepiece of the interior, covering the trim sections as well as the intricate details within the seat cushions and pillows.

This is the new limited edition

Crystal-white leather on the seats, consoles and doors welcomes occupants to sumptuous luxury. The floor mats, meanwhile, are made of linen and mohair, and the champagne flutes are rose-gold in colour. The roof features a recurring three-pointed Mercedes star pattern. The MBUX infotainment system has also been updated for this model, with shining clouds and bright rose-gold details that greet occupants as they climb in. The avatars within the system’s profile-selection menu are also dressed in their finest Sunday best, with jackets, tailcoats and evening gowns.

Finally, those who purchase the S 680 Haute Voiture will also receive a handmade gift box featuring the car’s number plate, a scale model and a key ring. It also contains a special car cover bearing the Maybach and Haute Voiture logos.

Customers who truly want to complete the look can also buy the car’s matching set of bags, which will be sold online and in luxury stores around the world. The limited-edition bags will feature many of the same design options and materials as the car itself.
