Without a doubt, car manufacturers are constantly looking for ever more creative ways to promote their vehicles, but having something as special as the new Mercedes CLS63 AMG in the lineup, it would not be normal to promote it in a conventional way.

Because of this, Mercedes has decided to take its new AMG model out for a spin, dressed up as a police vehicle no less, through the streets of New York, though with a few twists: for example, instead of the letters NYPD on the sides of the vehicle, the words Fashion Force appear, which at first glance doesn’t quite fit.

The reason for this lettering is that the star brand is one of the main sponsors of the Fashion Week Fall 2011 in New York, which opened its doors on February 10 and runs until the 17th, so the brand has found an undoubtedly special event in which to promote its new beast.

It is no surprise that, after taking it out for a drive, Mercedes USA has apparently had it cruising the most exclusive neighborhoods of the American city for four days, and the brand has generated tremendous excitement, something truly difficult to achieve in a city as diverse as New York.
