Mercedes V-Class: these are the new features coming to the star's commercial vehicles

The Mercedes V-Class vehicles are being renewed and, for that reason, Mercedes has decided to show some of the new features it has in store.

The Mercedes V-Class is the commercial vehicle range of the German brand, with a fairly strong presence in the market. This July, midway through the year, Mercedes-Benz gives us a preview of some of the new features that the V-Class models and their electric variant, the EQV, will receive. Both are considered luxury MPVs, thanks to their design and performance.

This is important because particular attention continues to be paid to the comfort and well-being of the occupants. We will presumably see all these changes at the Munich Motor Show, which takes place in September. The official presentation will be held in December, so they will not reach dealerships until the end of 2024.

The first change visible from the outside is the new grille. It features backlighting on the highest trim levels and on the electric version. With this new grille, the front gains presence thanks to a design with horizontal slats and black decorative details. The light units use Multibeam LED technology, and the Mercedes logo has a three-dimensional design.

At the rear, the light units, also LED, have been slightly darkened. The alloy wheels have a new design and can be chosen in sizes from 17 to 19 inches. For the bodywork, five new colours are available: Kalahari Gold Metallic, Hightech Silver Metallic, Sodalite Blue Metallic, Alpine Grey and Vintage Blue.

Redesigned interior

The interior has been reworked to offer more comfort and a better driving experience. To begin with, there are two 12.3-inch screens. One of them houses the instrument cluster, while the other handles the MBUX infotainment system. The “Hey, Mercedes” voice assistant has also been incorporated. The interior lighting system offers 64 colours and includes several online services.

In the case of the EQV version, there are specific graphic configurations that take the vehicle’s range into account when determining the routes selected.

Driving assistance

The driver will have a wide variety of driving assistance systems at their disposal. These include the active lane-keeping assistant with emergency braking, the Attention Assist package, the neutral gear warning and a 360º camera.
