Mini Beachcomber Concept (the return of the Moke)

For the Detroit Motor Show 2010, which will take place from 16 to 24 January 2010, Mini has a surprise in store in the form of a 4×4 (no, it’s not the Crossover that they have been preparing for so long). It is the MINI Beachcomber Concept, in other words, a kind of reinterpretation of the classic Moke, but modernised.
For now it is a concept, and its use is that of a buggy limited to beach areas. But although it has no doors or roof, Mini has thought about this detail and has created a series of removable plastic panels to enclose the Beachcomber should it be necessary, thereby extending its uses.
The Mini Beachcomber Concept will feature all-wheel drive ALL4 and previews the lines of the production model that Mini will launch in autumn 2010. For now, here is the image gallery of the concept, and it has to be said that this successor to the Moke, the legendary model of the 1960s, looks very promising.
