The Audi A8 is the first model to incorporate Google Earth

It is curious that until now, no car had the famous Google Earth application among its equipment. Audi, as a leading company, has realised the great potential of this application from Google and has decided to incorporate it as standard equipment on its new Audi A8.
In addition to the traditional hard-disk navigation system, the GPRS option integrated into the MultiMedia Interface allows access to Google. Along with the GPS for local search-based services, users can plan their journeys in Google Maps, Google Earth or on the official Audi portal.
With a SIM card inserted into the A8’s MMI, or through a mobile phone linked via Bluetooth, the user can access the full functionality of Google Earth, with a three-dimensional view of their surroundings shown on an 8-inch LCD screen while also accessing all the functions of the traditional navigation system. The incorporation of this new feature in the A8 is expected to take place in mid-2010, when the new flagship of Audi is at the peak of its sales.
