At the 43rd edition of the Tokyo Motor Show, which opens at the end of next November, we will be able to see three new concepts from Mitsubishi. All of them share the aim of developing the @earth TECHNOLOGY concept, which brings together environmental responsibility, driving pleasure, and robustness and safety.

The names of these three concepts are: GC-PHEV, XR-PHEV and AR. The first of them, the Mitsubishi Concept GC-PHEV, uses the latest-generation PHEV hybrid system and combines the performance and driving feel of an SUV with lower consumption levels.

Although little is known about this concept, it is known that it will fit the S-AWC dynamic control system which improves its off-road capability and stability. It will also carry a wide range of technology that will offer the driver maximum connectivity with the vehicle and greater preventive safety. The second concept is the Mitsubishi XR-PHEV, a compact SUV model with an exterior design similar to that of a sports coupé and lower emissions and consumption.

Finally, we have theMitsubishi AR, which will be presented as a compact MPV that will combine the qualities of an SUV with the interior space of an MPV. Its powertrain will be a compact direct-injection turbocharged engine. Now we have to wait a few weeks until we can get a closer look at these concepts, with which the brand aims to demonstrate its ability to create more efficient models.
