Mitsubishi XFC Concept, the new compact SUV for the Asian market
The brand will present this concept model within a few days. It is aimed at the Asian market and could reach other markets in a few years.

Mitsubishi is preparing the presentation of a new compact SUV, which will be the star of the brand’s stand at the next Vietnam Motor Show. The Mitsubishi XFC Concept does not intend to replace any existing model; instead, it will offer a new model positioned between the ASX and the Eclipse Cross, so that users in Asian countries can have a vehicle that complements their needs.
Aesthetically, the front end features the Dynamic Shield design language, although it is clear that this format has evolved to be updated. The chrome decorative elements have been dispensed with. LED front headlights in a T shape have been added.

The grille has an EVO X style and gives it a more aggressive and active look, even though it is partly covered. Beneath the grille there is a protective plate that includes additional LED lights, reinforcing its sporty and robust appearance. The design has pushed a step further, presenting a more sculpted look.

The more robust rear shoulders, the floating roof, the hidden door handles, or the cameras that replace the external mirrors are some of the elements present in this concept model. Many of these elements are expected to be replaced by more traditional ones in the production version, although this does not take away from the fact that it is very spectacular and that all of it is feasible.
At the rear, we see light clusters that echo the front, including the front LED lights, which are also present on the rear bumper.
Interior almost finished
The interior of the model also comes close to what the production version will be. A dual screen can be seen, along with a three-spoke steering wheel with touch-sensitive buttons. The center console features a futuristic-design gear selector, the air vents are camouflaged, and the seats have a sporty design.
Although the company has not confirmed whether it will offer four-wheel drive or front-wheel drive, it is expected to be very capable on the difficult terrain found in many of the countries it is intended for. It will have four driving modes, including one for wet surfaces, which is important in many Asian countries where rainfall is abundant and can cause problems.
The brand has anticipated that it will present an electrified variant of the XFC Concept in order to market it in other markets that are more demanding on emissions than Asia. In this case, we could have a variant aimed at the European market, although possibly not in the short term.
