Morgan 4/4 75th Anniversary

Morgan Cars has unveiled the 75th Anniversary edition of its 4/4, the model it has been producing for 75 years.

Did you think the oldest model still in production was the Volkswagen Beetle? You’re wrong, because there is another one that beats it by a narrow margin of two years. The Beetle was launched in 1938 in Germany, but two years earlier, in Britain, Morgan Cars began production of the 4/4, a model that is still being built today with few changes.

Morgan has now reached the 75th Anniversary edition of its 4/4. It can be said that the car has remained almost the same over the years, with small changes here and there that did nothing to alter its original essence. The engines have changed over the years, but they have never exceeded two litres of capacity; in fact, this edition of the 4/4 has the largest engine of them all.

Of course, there is a minority sector that enjoys this type of car, whose merit lies in not being simply a replica, but the original product of a traditional brand that still trusts its same models after so many years. The 75th Anniversary edition now features a two-litre Ecoboost engine that allows it to reach a top speed of 190 km/h, with an acceleration of 7.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.

The cost of the Morgan 4/4 is not so high for a car bought on a whim. For £38,750 you can have one, or more precisely 46,500 euros at the current exchange rate.
