MTM is already working on a small 500-horsepower A1.

Without a doubt, seeing is believing and, as they say, “the worst part is that it’s true”. As you can see on screen, the guys at MTM apparently don’t take so much as a week’s holiday, and if you thought they had paused their breakneck pace of development and presentations for a moment, you were very mistaken.
On this occasion, according to their official announcement, they are working very hard on the development and tuning of a beast that defies all logic: a small Audi A1, specifically the one belonging to the edition MTM has dubbed the Nardo Edition, a vehicle they have decided to fit with the same 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine found in models such as the TT-RS or the RS3, with its output raised to 500 horsepower.
According to MTM, this translates into something as simple as a Audi A1 capable of reaching 324 km/h or accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, figures more typical of a full-blown supercar than a small A1. Naturally, this car has kept Quattro all-wheel drive, which is essential for controlling so much power, while the gearbox is a six-speed manual.
