New 1.3 Multijet II 95 CV engine for the Fiat 500X

The small SUV from the Italian brand has been on sale for eight months now, and the Fiat 500X now adds a new diesel engine at the entry point of the range to offer more choice to customers who opt for this vehicle. It is the 1.3 Multijet II powertrain, delivering 95 CV of power, a latest-generation mechanical unit featuring a variable geometry turbocharger that gives the engine high efficiency at low revs.
Although it does not stand out much for its performance, it posts very modest consumption figures: it uses 4.1 l/100 km on the combined cycle (extra-urban: 3.8 l/100 km and urban: 4.7 l/100 km). It reaches a top speed of 172 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.9 seconds.
The Fiat 500X with the 1.3 Multijet II 95 CV engine is a very valid option if what you want is low consumption with performance that more than covers daily city use, though it falls a little short if you need more demanding use. It is available in three trim levels: Pop, Pop Star and Lounge.
More than 2,500 units of this SUV have been sold, which places it among the best-selling cars in its segment. The Fiat 500 range keeps growing little by little, adding options and alternatives across the whole line-up.
The Fiat 500X is available from €12,900 with extensive standard equipment including air conditioning, 16″ alloy wheels, 6 airbags, ESC, Hill Holder, cruise control and a 4-year warranty. Specifically, the Fiat 500X with this new engine is priced at €19,590, but with the PIVE Plan, the Superfinanciación with FCA Capital campaign and other discounts, the price can drop to €14,510.
