New Citroën C1: a city car with real style from 89 euros a month

The Citroën C1 gets updated to keep dominating the city: it arrives with a new look, more comfort, more efficient engines and two special editions, ELLE and Urban Ride.

More than one million units of its city car, the Citroën C1, have already been sold by Citroën worldwide since it launched in 2016. It is a model that works very well for the brand in Spain, where the keys to its success lie in a striking design, its manoeuvrability in urban traffic, a competitive price and its enormous customisation possibilities.

Now, Citroën presents the new 2018 Citroën C1 with exterior changes affecting the new badges, exterior colours –two new ones have been added–, new upholstery and new dashboard trims. There are also improvements in the technology section, with the arrival of the traffic sign recognition system and the multimedia system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In the mechanical section, Citroën announces that work has been done to improve acoustic comfort and suspension, while the 1.0 three-cylinder engineToyota gains 4 CV to reach an output of 72 CV, complying with the Euro 6.2 emissions standard. It can be chosen with a manual gearbox or the ETG automated manual gearbox.

The new Citroën C1 range is available with a starting price of 9,500 euros for the Citroën C1 City Edition series, or with a monthly instalment from 89 euros a month when financing the purchase through the brand. For this new 2018 model, two special editions are added.

Citroën C1 ELLE: with a feminine touch

Born from the collaboration with the fashion magazine ELLE, the C1 ELLE special edition is the second with this name, following the Citroën C3 ELLE. It stands out for its 15-inch alloy wheels, two-tone bodywork with a black roof and special edition identification decals, and tinted side and rear windows.

Inside, the Citroën C1 ELLE features specific upholstery –grey with contrasting stitching–, floor mats with pink edging and an ELLE label, and dashboard trim with pink details contrasting with the black gear lever and air vents. The standard equipment of the Citroën C1 ELLE is based on that of the range’s top version (C1 Shine), and is available with a five-door body from 9,800 euros.

Citroën C1 Urban Ride: adventurous spirit

Customisation in the case of the Urban Ride version of the Citroën C1 takes a different route, drawing on an adventurous spirit. To do so, it includes 15-inch black alloy wheels with red centre caps, identification decals for the series on the roof, and the option of a new blue exterior colour.

Inside, touches of grey and orange with special upholstery and gloss black elements on the gear lever and air vents. Equipment includes air conditioning, radio with USB and MP3, Bluetooth, heated electric mirrors and a multimedia system with a 7-inch touchscreen. It is offered with a five-door body.
