The Citroën C5 Aircross has been redesigned and has changed its attitude to “express greater strength and distinction”. The redesigned SUV from the brand of the chevrons also features a new design language that can be seen at the front. The lines are now more structured and less rounded, adopting a more vertical and modern look. At the rear, it also stands out for its new three-dimensional signature.

Pierre-Yves Couineau, C5 Aircross Project Manager, has stated that the “C5 Aircross, recognised since its launch as the most comfortable and modular SUV in its category, debuts a new design to reaffirm its personality in a more modern and dynamic way. Confirming its strengths such as comfort, interior space and modularity, it gains maturity and offers more character thanks to a more structured exterior design and more modern, higher-quality colours and materials in the interior”.

Since its launch in 2018, it has managed to register more than 27,000 units in Spain. Among its strengths, its roominess, comfort and modularity stand out. Likewise, the new Citroën C5 Aircross “remains a benchmark in terms of practicality and offers a calmer on-board experience. A feeling reinforced in the plug-in hybrid version, which already accounts for more than 30% of the mix in Europe”.

In addition, the redesigned SUV has introduced a new interpretation of the chevrons, which now stand independently and move away from the daytime running lights. This marks an evolution compared with the rest of the brand’s models. The chevrons are now lacquered in black, with a chrome trim, and are visually extended by a set of black and chrome piano-key elements that get closer together and gradually merge with the LED daytime running lights. The chevrons now stand out much more in the centre of the grille.

On the sides, the new profile stands out, offering an extra sense of robustness. The new C5 Aircross is also characterised by a distinctive look, created with generously moulded panels, a high, horizontal bonnet and a 360° glazed surface that retains a chrome “C” signature visually delimiting the passenger area and reinforcing the sensation of a floating roof. It keeps all the attributes of a powerful and protective SUV, with muscular flanks, a ground clearance of 230 mm, large 720 mm diameter wheels, 360° protection including Airbumps and wheel arches, functional roof bars with great personality and a commanding driving position.

Complementing this, numerous design elements on the side lend more elegance and modernity. This is the case of the new two-tone 18″ PULSAR alloy wheels, diamond-cut with an aerodynamic design and a combination of colours and materials between aluminium and gloss black.

Among the novelties, the new Eclipse Blue stands out, shifting from dark blue to black depending on the light. The range now prioritises customers’ preferred colours: Banquise White, Mother-of-Pearl White, Perla Nera Black, Platinum Grey, Artense Grey and the new Eclipse Blue. The new colours of the Colour Packs decorate the front air intakes and the Airbumps®. Four new Colour Packs allow the new C5 Aircross to reaffirm its SUV character and elegance: Gloss Black, Dark Chrome, Anodised Bronze and Energic Blue, plus the two-tone Black offer, available from the Shine trim onwards.

The SUV now measures 4.50 metres long, 1.84 metres wide and 1.67 metres high with the roof bars included. It is available with diesel, petrol and plug-in hybrid powertrains with a range of 55 kilometres. Capable of driving silently and without vibration up to 135 km/h in electric mode, it has 320 Nm of torque available instantly, ensuring permanent comfort and dynamic acceleration at all times. With zero CO2 emissions in electric mode, it offers freedom of access to urban low-emission zones closed to combustion-engine cars.

The new C5 Aircross offers a wide range of state-of-the-art technologies to enhance the comfort and safety of its occupants in everyday use. The driver of the C5 Aircross has up to 20 different driver assistance systems, a benchmark in the compact SUV segment. Among them is the Highway Driver Assist, a level 2 autonomous driving system that combines Adaptive Cruise Control with stop & go and Active Lane Change Alert, amplifying the sense of safety by always serving the driver.
