New Citroën DS3 Racing 2015

The youngest member of the DS range was recently renewed with the addition of new equipment, as well as more efficient and performance-oriented engines.

Now it’s time to present the most sporty and dynamic version of the DS3 range. We’re talking about the DS3 Racing, which, like its siblings, adopts the latest technologies implemented across the range.

Aesthetically, the DS3 Racing adopts the basic features we already find across the DS3 range, such as more eye-catching colours or alloy wheels with a specific sporty design. Inside, as is only logical for the most dynamic version, the finishes offer an extra spicy touch that will please lovers of sportiness.

Technologically, the DS3 Racing debuts the new Full LED xenon headlights we’ve already seen on the “regular” DS3. These are optical units that use xenon technology for the dipped beams, while LED diodes are responsible for providing maximum possible illumination for the high beams. The rear lights also debut LED technology, offering a very attractive three-dimensional look.

The DS3 Racing has had both its engine and chassis revised, as its 1.6 THP engine is now capable of delivering 207 CV and 275 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. Both the front and rear track widths have been widened by 30 mm, while the suspensions are noticeably firmer, improving feel and precision at the wheel.

The braking system has also been improved, with fixed 4-piston calipers on the front axle which, in combination with specific ventilated discs, guarantee consistent braking in any situation. The DS3 Racing will be available in Spain with a list price starting at €29,600, excluding aid and discounts.
