New Fiat Egera spotted in a video from Turkey

Fiat-Egea-#
It had been a few months since we last had news about the Fiat Egea, the new saloon from the Italian manufacturer that was due to arrive in the final months of the year. We talked at length about the first reports and even had the chance to see some photos of its bodywork. Right, at first the concept it was based on was called ÆGEA, and its name has been simplified to make it more accessible to buyers around the world.

The production model has been seen in a video and a short image gallery published by the company’s Turkish subsidiary. The model has a length of 4.5 metres, a width of 1.78 metres and a height of 1.48 metres. The wheelbase of this saloon is 2.64 metres and its boot capacity amounts to 558 litres. But before going any further, let’s take a look at the car, both outside and inside.

The differences between the concept version and the production one are minimal, with the same dimensions and proportions. Some details have been refined and smoothed to make them more efficient on the road, and work has been done to make the interior as pleasant and comfortable as possible, something the show model already had.

As for engines, the Fiat Egea will be sold with MultiJet II turbo diesel units in two power outputs. The first is 95 CV and the most powerful reaches 120 CV. Depending on the engine, power is sent to the wheels through either a manual or automatic gearbox. According to the figures provided by the brand, the most basic version of the Fiat Egea will offer fuel consumption of 4 litres per 100 km.

The Fiat Egea is going through the final stages of promotion before its official presentation, which will take place during November.
