New Iveco Daily Electric
Iveco is adding the new electric Daily to its wide and versatile range of commercial vehicles. It combines all the virtues of fossil-fuel-powered vehicles with the zero emissions of an electric vehicle, while maintaining its large load capacity.
New Iveco Daily Electric
Iveco is adding a new member to its range of commercial vehicles. It is an electric variant of the Daily model. Other brands also offer vehicles of this type as a more environmentally friendly alternative to those running on fossil fuels.
The new Daily has been awarded the “Van of the Year 2015” title, thanks to the virtues and success achieved by Iveco’s commercial vehicle. This 100% electric version incorporates important innovations while guaranteeing maximum environmental sustainability.
It uses low-consumption auxiliary elements that achieve high efficiency. Its reduced weight also lowers energy consumption. The battery lasts 20% longer and also increases payload capacity by around 100 kilograms.
The batteries are 100% recyclable and can be charged, thanks to the flexible charging mode patented by Iveco, on a public or private network in just two hours via a fast-charging connection. In the three-battery configuration it offers a range of 280 kilometres measured according to the NEDC homologation cycle.

Drivers can choose between two driving modes: ECO and Power. In ECO mode, the torque is managed to minimise energy consumption without limiting the top speed. In Power mode the driver can access the maximum performance of the electric traction motor.
One of the important new features is Regenerative Braking or regenerative braking. It allows selecting, both with the vehicle stationary and in motion, different brake management modes. Depending on the route characteristics and traffic conditions, the driver can choose the most suitable braking mode to minimise energy consumption.
The Daily offers a varied and extensive range from Iveco, as it is available in van and chassis cab versions with a gross weight of up to 5.6 tonnes, a loading volume of 19.6 m3 and great versatility, allowing it to adapt to the needs and demands of any customer.
It comes as standard with a new acoustic warning system to alert pedestrians, which activates automatically between 0 and 30 km/h. The new electric Daily adds inside a removable 7″ tablet and an electronic instrument panel, from which the vehicle is monitored. The touchscreen of the TomTom Bridge offers the convenience of an integrated system and the flexibility of a portable device.
