New Kia QYi, a compact SUV concept that looks to the future

Kia will present a new compact SUV at the India Auto Expo 2020, the QYi. It is well equipped and will feature all kinds of technology.

Kia will present a new compact SUV concept at the India Auto Expo 2020 called QYi. The model boasts avant-garde lines and is equipped with the latest technologies available in the sector.

The Auto Expo will take place from February 5 to 12 in New Delhi, India. Even so, the brand has already shared the first images of the model, in the form of drawings, which show off its most outstanding lines in an impressive way.

A modern and technological design

The design of the model has a sporty look that combines very well with the modern touch the market is looking for. The famous “tiger” grille, very common in the manufacturer, stands out, as do LED headlights and large air intakes.

Other parts such as its “muscular” roof, its small mirrors, the wide fenders or the rear lighting, as well as the absence of conventional door handles, complete a design that points to the future, with a clear trend towards avant-garde styling.

The Korean manufacturer has already been seen testing the new SUV, whose codename, incidentally, is QYi. It will use the same architecture found in the Hyundai Venue. The latest data suggests it will measure less than 4 meters in length, so it will be quite compact for its segment.

Inside, its design will closely resemble that of models such as the Seltos. Of course, it will come equipped with the most advanced technology in the sector, and a large touchscreen will sit at the centre of the centre console, catching the eye and accentuating its modern aesthetic.

Its engine options range from a 1.0-litre turbo engine, to a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated option, as well as a 1.5-litre diesel option. The transmission options will be 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic.
