Nissan and Usain Bolt create a one-off GT-R for charity
Nissan, in an unprecedented collaboration with Usain Bolt, has created a one-off GT-R that will be auctioned online to donate the proceeds to the Jamaican athlete’s foundation.

Usain Bolt, the fastest man on the planet over short distances, has teamed up with Nissan to create a one-off GT-R that will be auctioned on eBay to support the Usain Bolt Foundation. The proceeds will go directly to creating educational and cultural opportunities for children in Jamaica.
This Japanese one-off does not have many differences from a standard GT-R, but the model features an exterior paint finish that simulates gold, the athlete’s stamped signature, and real gold interior trim. The 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 remains unchanged from the 2012 version.

In addition, Usain Bolt will begin working with product specialists from Nissan on a limited edition version that will be available to order in the markets where the GT-R is sold. Details of this project will be announced at a later date, after the sale of this exclusive and beautiful unit in October.
The Jamaican will become a brand ambassador. According to chief operating officer Toshiyuki Shiga, “Nissan shares the spirit of enthusiasm that captivated audiences around the world at the Olympic Games. There is no one better qualified than Usain Bolt to help carry that spirit forward.”
