Nissan E-NV200: the best-selling electric van in Spain in 2017
The Nissan E-NV200 captured 35% of the market share in its segment and last year registered 330 new registrations.
The volume of 100% electric vehicles in 2017 reached 4,918 units, which represented an increase of 71.6% over 2016, although it accounted for only a 0.4% share of the total passenger car market in 2017. Of this total, 946 units (19%) were electric delivery vans intended for self-employed workers and small businesses, and within this segment one model stands out above the rest: the Nissan e-NV200. The Japanese electric van captures more than a third of sales in this segment (330 units).

With the rise of e-commerce, this type of vehicle is becoming a clear tool in the fight to reduce emissions in city centres, as well as a fundamental element in the logistics of the business and industrial fabric of transport, since it offers clear advantages in the form of cost savings and more efficient distribution to customers.
1 in every 3 electric vans sold is an Nissan e-NV200
Within this market, the e-NV200 van, made in Spain, leads the electric van market with a 35% share and a total volume registered in 2017 of 330 units, representing an increase of 7.1% over the previous year. In its fourth year on the market, this vehicle has managed to double its registrations. In short, one in every three electric vans sold in Spain in 2017 has been an e-NV200.
The Nissan e-NV200 has set a new record by already surpassing the barrier of 1,000 units registered on the Spanish market since its sales began four years ago.

In 2018, the Nissan e-NV200 will receive a battery with 280 km of range
Furthermore, in early October 2017, Nissan announced the arrival of a new battery for the e-NV200, an element that will provide more range and allow it to travel further than ever on a single charge. The new 40 kWh battery for the 100% electric van best-selling in Europe offers a 60% increase in range, reaching 280 km under the NEDC2 cycle; the current version of the electric van offers a range of 170 km. In addition, since the size and weight of the battery itself have not increased, the space and load capacity of the vehicle will remain unchanged.
