Off-road along the beaches to go surfing in Portugal with the Jeep Cherokee

In this new instalment of our usual routes around Europe, taking advantage of the summer, we have changed the destination and the theme, covering the best beaches for surfing in Portugal. From Vila Praia de Ancora to Lisbon, searching for the best spots to surf.

As our travel companion we have a Jeep Cherokee, although it is no ordinary version: it is the special Night Eagle edition with the 2.2 Multijet II diesel engine producing 200 CV, nine-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive.

So over the coming days there will be several articles about the route and the Cherokee, a model that has surprised us with its fuel consumption and its off-road performance, and that leaves no one indifferent as it passes through the streets or beaches wherever it goes.

The route will be as follows:

• Day 1: Vila Praia de Ancora – Viana do Castelo – Espinho
• Day 2: Espinho – Figueira da Foz
• Day 3: Figueira da Foz – Nazaré – Lisbon

As well as discovering coastal places in Portugal with a certain charm, we will also analyse in depth the new Jeep Cherokee, a tireless distance-eater whatever the terrain. Follow us!
