Official photos of the Scion FR-S

I think what has captivated those who attended the New York Auto Show the most is the spectacular Scion FR-S, the American take on the Toyobaru. And the truth is it left more than one person wide-eyed, people who didn’t really expect the American Toyobaru to be far more attractive than the Japanese one and, while they were at it, that Scion was capable of such a feat.
The official data say it keeps the same two-litre Boxer engine as its Japanese sibling, paired with either an automatic or a manual gearbox. Speculating that the FR-S will be the definitive FT-86, or that I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one if they sold it just as it was shown, would be a cliché that’s already worn thin. But at least, the production car will be identical to this one, of which I leave you official photos after the jump.
