Opel Insignia Sports Tourer for the German police

It is not unusual to see the German police driving cars supplied directly by the country’s major prestige brands such as Mercedes or BMW. However, in the German state of Hesse they have opted for something cheaper with the incorporation of the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer.
German authorities have confirmed a total of 800 vehicles, of which 25 have already been delivered, as we can see in the photos. Meanwhile, another 75 Opel Insignia Sports Tourer will be delivered throughout December.
In addition to the obvious aesthetic changes, as this is a police version of the Insignia estate, it incorporates some further modifications such as warning lights with LED technology or a system that allows police dogs to be transported in the boot.
