Pagani at the 2011 Geneva Show

I’ll begin by saying that barely had we finished our long romance with the Lamborghini Aventador, which we were already searching for frantically with our eyes for the other bad boy of the show: the Pagani Huayra, of which you already had an extensive photo collection from when it was unveiled in Milan.

Horacio Pagani’s new creation ends up convincing even the most skeptical that they want one of these beasts, even in their wettest dreams. The 6-litre Mercedes is truly a work of art: 12 cylinders, two turbos and capable of 700 horsepower.

If the engine is a work of art, the seven-speed transmission assembly, with robotised system that can accommodate seven different driving modes, is no less so. Beyond the new chassis made of carbon fibre and titanium and the aerodynamics controlled by an ECU, nothing has been left to chance in the Huayra.

Performance figures have not yet been officially released by Pagani, but it is known to be more than capable of reaching 370 km/h. Does that sound sufficient? Then run and place your order for the Huayra, if you have the million euros it costs. If I had that kind of money, I’d be first in line, but I’ll settle for the photos our colleagues in Geneva sent us. One day…
