Pagani Huayra Roadster goes into production

It was only to be expected that with a supercar like the Huayra, the Italian-Argentine company Pagani, would not have officially confirmed certain details such as the production of the roadster version of this striking supercar, something that, although we had already seen some more or less accurate teasers, was not yet official.
Now, if you have a bank account comfortable enough to afford one of these supercars, the idea of a Huayra Roadster will surely be very tempting, so the statements from the very Horacio Pagani about the development of this version will have come to you like manna from heaven.

Specifically, these statements were obtained through an interview Horacio Pagani gave to Autoblog Argentina, in which Horacio himself confirmed exclusively the development of a Huayra Roadster, although, unfortunately, we will not be able to see them until 2014 at the earliest, something you will surely like much less.
Even so, this interview has yielded a great deal, for example revealing that the name originally chosen for the Huayra was Da Vinci, a name they decided to replace after hiring an agency specialising in finding names for cars, which, among others, proposed the name Huayra, the name that was finally chosen because of its meaning.
Finally, it is worth highlighting something truly surprising: Pagani already has more than 60 firm orders for the Huayra, which shows the good times the company is going through.
