Passion Motors revives the legendary AC Cobra

Passion Motors, a self-proclaimed American manufacturer of supercars that you may know from its work building replicas of the legendary AC Cobra, has just unveiled what it calls the Contessa, an eye-catching and unusual sports car built on the same platform it uses for its replicas.
Another point that, I’m sure, like me you will find interesting is its styling. As a proper American sports car, it has a worthy and capable mechanical setup and, above all, one from General Motors. However, the styling of this model is more fitting of Italian models than American ones. Proof of this is the rear end, clearly inspired by the Alfa 33 Stradale or, by extension, the Alfa 8C Competizione.

To top off the whole package, we have to talk about its 8.2-litre V8 engine, with an unknown power output, included as standard and supplied by General Motors. If you want something with a bit less power, you may be interested in the option of buying your Contessa with a 7.0 V8 LS7 with 500 horsepower.
As we mentioned earlier, this whole attractive structure is built on the chassis of the AC Cobra, manufactured exclusively by Passion Motors itself, to which elements have been added such as a new roll cage designed to increase the rigidity of the assembly, or an appealing system of independent suspension handcrafted by hand.

Looking at certain details, you will surely like to know that to stop this model, the guys at Passion Motors have decided to include a braking system signed by Brembo made up of four-piston calipers, which you can see through attractive multi-spoke wheels painted in silver and gold, wrapped in 245/40 tyres on the front axle and 275/40 on the rear.
If we leave all this aside and move towards the interior of the model, you will find that you are looking at an attractive two-seater in which the rear seats have been removed to make room for a pair of helmet compartments, which speaks very well of the company’s thinking about this model.
Finally, I’ll just say that Passion Motors will sell its Contessa at a price of 85,830 euros, which does not include the engine. The unit in the photographs is the one fitted with the eye-catching 8.2 V8 mated to a manual gearbox, whose price is 111,00 euros.
