The Peugeot 508, the new offering from the French manufacturer, catches the eye with its appearance, which is reminiscent of sports coupés from other brands. Its design has been one of the most carefully considered details in the development of this model, which is set to hit the market with the aim of revolutionising the D-segment. As for technology, it introduces some new features in the Peugeot Cockpit, which is fully customisable. The I-Cockpit Amplify lets you choose between 2 personalised ambiences, “Boost” and “Relax”.

The seats are one of the most outstanding aspects of this Peugeot 508. The driver’s seat has earned the demanding AGR award, granted by two German associations of physiotherapy and ergonomics experts. The wide range of adjustments for length, recline and lumbar support, optional from the Active trim level, guarantee the maximum level of comfort while ensuring a high degree of postural hygiene for the spine and the rest of the musculoskeletal system.

The enveloping front seats can optionally be fitted with an 8-chamber pneumatic massage system, with 5 different multi-point massage programmes.

In the rear, the seats recline by 27º for greater comfort. The distance to the roof is 4 cm greater than in the brand’s saloon, and occupants can enjoy a large panoramic opening roof. A wide range of high-end upholstery is available, including Alcantara or Nappa Pleine Fleur leather, in two colours: black or purple red.

Everything suggests that the Peugeot 508 is set to offer tough competition to other cars in a similar class but at a more competitive price. Although its design may recall sports coupés from brands such as BMW, we believe this is a very shrewd move by Peugeot, considering this model will be available from €27,250.
