The Peugeot RCZ is proving a success before sales have even started, as the special edition launched to mark its debut has been a real sales hit. Well, Peugeot is back with another special version of the RCZ called “Black Yearling”, limited to just 75 units.

It comes with a comprehensive standard equipment list that leaves nothing out, including the WIP Nav 3D navigation system (one of the best PSA systems), bi-xenon headlights with headlight washers, Nappa leather, and a special exterior colour called “Negro Perla Nera”. This special version is paired with the 1.6 THP engine producing 156 CV and a six-speed manual gearbox.

Some of the standard equipment items (in addition to the one already mentioned):

  • Easy Motion Pack (front and rear parking sensors)
  • Anti-theft alarm
  • 19-inch Solstice alloy wheels
  • Visibility pack
  • ESP + TCS
  • Front centre armrest
  • Trip computer
  • Two-zone air conditioning
  • Trip computer
  • Tyre pressure sensor
  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel with chrome inserts
  • Aluminium pedals
  • Chrome twin exhaust outlets
  • Cruise control and speed limiter

The best thing about the special edition of the Peugeot RCZ is its price: you can have an RCZ with all this equipment for 33,000 euros, a surprisingly affordable figure for a sporty car with character that is so well equipped. From 6 November this limited edition can be ordered from the Peugeot website, and the first units will be delivered in spring 2010, just when the RCZ goes on sale.
