Pininfarina Hyperion Revealed

This eccentric Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé is a one-off commission from a client with obviously deep pockets to the Italian firm, designed to create an exclusive design model that departs considerably from the style of the vehicle it is based on.
Pininfarina has dispensed with the Phantom’s two rear seats, moving the front seats and windscreen back 400 mm to make room for a space whose function will be that of gun cabinet.
Another peculiarity of the Hyperion is that Girard Perregaux has created a specific watch for the model that can be detached from the strap and fitted to the dashboard.
Pininfarina’s new creation will be unveiled in five days’ time at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and it can safely be assumed that it will be one of the most famous models at the event, and very likely long afterwards too.
