Pininfarina turns 90 and changes its logo

In 2020 Pininfarina will celebrate its 90th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the company has unveiled its new logo and announced events that will take place in the near future.

Pininfarina, until recently, was dedicated to designing some of the most beautiful models in motoring history. Today, in addition to continuing to offer this type of service, it is also a manufacturer. Its first supercar, the Pininfarina Battista, will soon reach the market.

In 2020, the company, founded in 1930 in Turin, Italy, will turn 90. To celebrate, it has made public its new logo, which will appear on its branding from now on. It has also announced various events that will take place in the future.

A history that will soon reach its centenary

Reaching 100 years in existence is a source of pride for any company. It demonstrates the reliability, professionalism and prestige of the brand and turns it into a legend.

Over the last 90 years, Pininfarina has delighted the public with its designs in motoring and across all kinds of segments.

Ferrari 250 GTO

Among its legendary models is the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300, from 1933, with which it actually debuted. Its first design for Ferrari came in 1952 with the Ferrari 250. This model is one of the greatest dreams for collectors and alsothe most expensive car ever auctioned in motoring history.

It is no surprise that a company with such credentials and prestige is so highly valued. The company’s incredible taste in design is unmatched. The shame, in fact, is that most people with no knowledge of cars don’t even know it exists, attributing these impeccable designs to the brands themselves…

Iconic models such as the Ferrari F40, the Rolls Royce Camargue, the Lancia Aprilia or even the Peugeot 205 have all received their design from Pininfarina.

90 years, a new logo and a promising future

In 2015, the Indian giant , Mahindra Group, bought Pininfarina for around 168 million euros. In 2018, the famous designer also became a manufacturer under the name Automobili Pininfarina.

Interesting projects such as the Rimac C-Two electric, based on the Battista, will reach the market in the coming years.

To commemorate 90 years of company history, a new logo has been presented. Its look combines Pininfarina’s traditional typography (keeping its roots) with a small number 90 attached to it. We assume that when they reach their centenary, this will change to a definitive one, which may mark, if nothing stands in the way, the next 100 years of success for the manufacturer.

In the words of the CEO of Pininfarina, Paolo Pininfarina:

“Our logo aims to tell the world the story of our family and our company. Having achieved such important milestones over all these years, I remind myself that we are capable of repeating them, and even doing better than before.”

Meanwhile, the manufacturer has announced that a series of events will take place in Milan and Turin over the coming year. Of course, they have also confirmed their future presence at the next Geneva Motor Show. Finally, there will be a special event in Miami in December 2020.
