The second generation of the Volkswagen SUV, the Touareg, which was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, now has its price list confirmed for the Spanish market. It will offer a varied range of engines, all fitted as standard with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The Volkswagen Touareg 2010 will be available at the brand’s dealerships from next May, starting at €56,730 for the 3.0 V6 TDI 240 CV engine. There is also a special version called Premium that uses the same engine but comes with a higher level of equipment, so its price rises to €59,370.

For the 4.2 V8 TDI engine with 340 CV, with an average consumption of 9.1 litres per 100 kilometres, the SUV will start at €78,790. Finally, the Touareg will also offer a 333 CV hybrid engine, although its price rises considerably to €81,580, perhaps too expensive an option, since you would have to cover quite a lot of kilometres to make it worthwhile.
