Recreations of the new Ford Capri

These past few weeks, a rumour has been gradually gaining traction: the possible return of the Ford Capri. Ford has not confirmed anything, but ever since the VW Scirocco was unveiled, the rumour of a possible comeback has been circulating across various automotive websites online.

And as if that weren’t enough, amid these rumours the first recreations of a hypothetical future new Ford Capri have appeared. The images take elements from Ford’s new design language (Kinetic Design), using the fundamental features of the historic Capri as their basis.

The idea of launching a Capri is rather complicated given the current situation in the automotive industry, but VW has revived the Scirocco, and coupés seem to be enjoying a surge in popularity. The Peugeot 407 Coupé is still on sale, and Renault has joined the market with the Laguna Coupé. So the idea isn’t entirely far-fetched. For now, here are the recreations: one can always dream.
