Renault Clio Williams, a short-term possibility

If you’re from the 80s or even the 70s, when you talk about those iconic cars that have driven through your city’s streets and really defined an era, the Renault Clio Williams is bound to come up, a model that, just thinking about it, will surely bring back that goofy grin that makes us so happy.
A unique car that hit the market in 1993 and whose only real claims to fame were its reduced weight, under 1,000 kg, and a two-litre petrol engine capable of producing a whopping 150 hp. Because of its high performance, at least around here, it ended up being nicknamed “coffin on wheels,” precisely because of the high number of accidents it caused, thanks to performance that was truly heart-stopping for its time.
Well, after all of this, it seems that Renault, thanks to its good relationship with Williams, could be seriously considering launching a special edition of the Clio Williams. Unfortunately, nothing is official yet, but you can’t say the photographs don’t show a more than interesting vehicle.
At this point, everything is speculation, but it’s blessed speculation, since according to Autoexpress, the new version of the Clio Williams would fit the same 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine producing 240 hp that we love so much in Renault, equipped with the same suspension found on the Megane RS, along with certain details designed to enhance the sporty character of this limited edition.
