Renault Espace E-Tech 200 CH: sporty hybrid version with 1,100 km of range

Renault once again revolutionises the car market with the launch of its iconic vehicle, the Renault Espace. Since its debut in 1983, this innovative MPV has set the stage for a futuristic vision and has stayed at the forefront of the industry across five generations.

Today, Renault proudly presents the new Espace E-Tech 200 CH, a state-of-the-art MPV designed to comfortably carry 5 or 7 people. This model joins the successful range of Renault vehicles, including its latest addition, the Renault Rafale, which keeps the brand’s leadership in the C and D segments.

The new Renault Espace has evolved with the times and adopted an SUV-style look with an elegant, athletic design. The Esprit Alpine trim, which we also find on models such as the new Renault Clio, gives it a sporty and distinctive touch with several extra features such as Alcantara leather upholstery, 20-inch alloy wheels and aluminium pedals. Despite its aesthetic transformation, the Espace has kept its essence as a long-distance MPV and remains the most spacious model in the Renault range. This is precisely its most outstanding feature, as it offers a wide selection of sophisticated materials and high-quality finishes. Among them, the bright, high-end interior stands out, featuring a sunroof of more than 1 m2, automatic climate control and 100% recycled fabric upholstery, one of the largest on the market, and on the exterior, Adaptive Vision LED headlights and sensors at the front and rear.

The new Espace also stands out for its advanced technology, both inside and under the bonnet. It offers complete connectivity for the driver and passengers while maintaining a low environmental impact. Despite having a more compact exterior footprint and being 215 kg lighter than its predecessor, it features a powerful 200 CV E-Tech hybrid powertrain, which guarantees optimal efficiency. With a fuel consumption of just 4.6 litres per 100 km, the new Espace has a range of up to 1,100 km, and best of all, its battery never needs charging.

Renault has also wanted to demonstrate its commitment to meeting customers’ needs by offering its fleet every type of model, from combustion engines to hybrid and electric models. Fabrice Cambolive, CEO of Renault, says: “The Espace is transforming to meet new customer demands, with a benchmark hybrid engine and a unique multimedia experience.”

Based on the CMF-CD platform developed by the Alliance, this model features 32 driver assistance systems that guarantee maximum safety and comfort for all occupants. This model comes with many notable interior features, such as an anti-glare rear-view mirror, tinted windows, the MULTI-SENSE system and the revolutionary four-wheel steering system from Renault, known as 4CONTROL Advanced, which takes the driving experience to a new level.

Orders for the new Espace will be available from spring 2023. With this launch, Renault reaffirms its commitment to innovation and continues to lead the automotive industry with its vision of the future and its legacy of durable and reliable vehicles.
