Another customised Megane RS has been unveiled, featuring the colours of the Red Bull Formula 1 team and mechanically similar to the RS 256.

The relationship between Red Bull and Renault continues to produce customised Megane models linked to Formula 1 and, of course, Red Bull. The energy drink brand already had a Megane RS model that represented it, with the drink’s colours, although it looked more like a Red Bull promotional car, the kind you see on the street doing advertising.

Now the customisation is more elaborate and looks like a genuine racing car. The chequered flag on the roof and the black colour, used almost throughout, are accompanied by yellow details on the nose, mirrors and diffuser. The previous Red Bull blue “uniform” has given way to a little more creativity from the people at Renault.

The Megane RB7 has the same engine as the RS 256, the 2-litre with 250 CV, so we will not find even more dazzling performance in the energy drink Megane. It does feature a limited-slip differential, an improved chassis (courtesy of the Megane Cup) and a monitoring system inspired by the on-board telemetry systems used in competition.

Although it seems ready to take on anyone on the street, it features a Start/Stop system, an unusual feature for a model of this character, but one of vital importance in today’s times.
