Renault Twingo Electric Cars Urban
Renault opens pre-orders for the new electric Twingo
The Renault R Pass programme allows fans of the French manufacturer’s electric city car to place an order for this model, even before its official unveiling next November, along with other benefits.
Renault is preparing for the global launch of the Twingo E-Tech Electric, a city car with an electric powertrain inspired by the legendary model of the 1990s. The French manufacturer will reveal all the secrets we do not yet know about this vehicle on 6 November 2025, which promises to be an accessible urban mobility option with a price below 20,000 euros.
Making this project a reality has been possible in record time, since, as the French manufacturer itself explains, development of the new Twingo was completed in just two years, using the AmpR Small platform, designed specifically for compact electric vehicles.

The design of the new Twingo E-Tech Electric pays tribute to its predecessor with curved lines, a cheerful front end and rounded LED headlights that evoke the original 1993 model. Its smiling grille and gloss black finish give it a distinctive and carefree touch, keeping the essence of the classic Twingo. Despite its compact size, Renault claims the interior is spacious and modular, faithful to the motto “small on the outside, big on the inside“. In addition, the vehicle offers a range of up to 250 km, efficient consumption and a comfortable, practical driving experience, ideal for urban environments.
To build anticipation before its launch, Renault has previewed four images showing the peculiar design of the new Twingo, which you can see in this post. These images highlight its MPV-style bodywork, which recalls the original model but adapted to today’s needs with advanced electric technology.
For the biggest fans of the legendary Twingo
Renault has also launched the R Pass programme, an exclusive initiative for all those who want to be the first to sit behind the wheel of their new Twingo E-Tech Electric. This pass, already available in Italy for 100 euros, allows buyers to reserve the vehicle before its official launch, access priority test drives and be among the first to receive it.

The R Pass also includes additional benefits, such as a 1/43 scale model of the new Twingo, a special key cover and access to exclusive events. The cost of this pass will also be deducted from the final price of the vehicle when it is purchased, an advantage expected to be maintained in other countries. However, although the price of 100 euros is confirmed for Italy, it has not yet been officially announced whether it will be the same in other countries.

The R Pass programme will also be available in other European markets in the coming weeks: in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and also in Spain from 13 October. Two days later, from 15 October in the United Kingdom, and finally also in France from 22 October.
