What you are seeing in the pictures is a Renault Twingo, inspired by the Renault Megane Trophy and the Renault Clio V6 Sport. French tuner Lazareth has modified the first generation of the Twingo to turn it into a competition vehicle through and through.

As you may have read in the headline, this impressive Twingo features a 3.5-litre mid-mounted V8 engine from Land Rover that delivers 180 CV, with power sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox.

Of course, converting a city car into a mid-engined sports car is not that simple. Lazareth had to modify the Twingo’s chassis, adding a rear tubular subframe, and replace the suspension and brakes, to name just a few of the changes. The rest of the equipment is completed with a matt grey exterior finish, a pair of MOMO seats, a sports steering wheel and new digital gauges.

But the most curious thing of all is that the car is for sale. The French tuner has it listed on its website for around 70,000 euros. The website also features other unusual models, such as transformations of Mini fitted with V8 engines. Finally, we leave you with a video of the V8 Twingo in motion.
