Rinspeed E2, the Abarth 500 "dual"

Rinspeed is preparing the Abarth 500 and will present the Rinspeed E2 at the Geneva Motor Show. The E2 is a vehicle that, under the banner of eco-friendliness, aims to save on consumption while not losing performance.
The most noteworthy feature of the Rinspeed E2 is its Two Energy Levels system, since thanks to this system it is possible to extract all the power from the 160 hp engine and, at the same time, reduce consumption when that much power is not needed.
The engine used is the 160 hp 1.4 T-Jet, which features two operating modes: in “Highway” mode all of the engine’s horsepower is used and consumption drops to just 7 l/100 km. Then there is the “Commuting” mode, where power falls to 60 hp, ideal for city driving and achieving a range of 25 km per litre of diesel.
