Rolls Royce Phantom face to face

It couldn’t be the following week, but, as better late than never, here is the continuation of that unforgettable day of the adventure with the Lamborghini Gallardo in Marbella.

After getting out of the Lambo, the dealership owner told us he had more cars to show us and that he was going to show them to us. Do you remember the Rolls Royce Phantom that was inside the dealership? The first time I saw it I took several photos through the glass, as any car enthusiast does when they see a model like that. What I didn’t know was that I would be able to drool from a more privileged position.

Once inside the dealership I could see that the Phantom wasn’t alone, as it had as companions a Corvette Z06 and a Rolls Royce Corniche. Just as I was taking out my camera to capture the long Phantom (if anyone is lucky enough to see it in person, they will notice it disappears into the horizon), the owner told me to wait, since some customers don’t want their cars photographed. As you can see from the clear evidence, the owner was accommodating and agreed without any problems.

After taking the key out of a safe, the doors of this British majesty opened to let my eyes enjoy the wood, the leather, and every last detail of that spotless interior. But let’s break the magic: do you know how much a simple floor mat costs? The price is quite frightening… each one is worth 2,000 euros, and it’s scary to think that specks of dust could come to rest on it.

In this case too I could hear the sound of its engine when starting and at idle. I didn’t do the famous test of standing a coin on its edge on the dashboard, but I can assure you that it was nothing more than a deep murmur from cylinders, twelve to be exact, under the bonnet. Its 460 CV are only meant for rare occasions, since these cars above all aim to be a boat sailing on oil, something that can also be verified on site, as it has a gauge showing the power being used at any given moment.

And… that’s all. Let’s hope that if there is a next time in those lands I can bring you something better and different, but I have no complaints about this one. I just want to thank the dealership for the treatment given at all times and the kindness with which they made me spend an unforgettable time.
